I joined Mr Ng’s class towards the end of my first year. I faced difficulties transitioning from the skills I learnt during O Levels and struggled to apply A Level skills in my work. As History was my H2 subject, I was extremely worried about my mediocre grades and even started to regret taking the subject. In my second year, as exams and Prelims were approaching, I found myself still unable to understand the basic foundation of essay structures and how to approach questions.

Fortunately, Mr Ng’s help turned this around. Despite lessons being conducted in a group setting, he still placed great importance in checking in personally with each of his students to understand their strengths and weaknesses, so as to cater to our individual needs. He provided notes that were organised and easy to refer to as well as many sample answers that gave us a clearer understanding as to how to write our answers. I was able to immediately clear my doubts with him on WhatsApp and he was always more than happy to arrange extra consultations with his students if they needed it. Overall, Mr Ng’s patience and ability to connect with each of his students boosted my morale and confidence in the weeks leading up to A Levels. He is also a very fun teacher who understands how stressful the exams can be and does everything he can to ensure that we are prepared to take it on.

H1 History was always a struggle for me in JC. However, after joining Mr Justin’s History Tuition just before my JC2 mid-year exams, I noticed a gradual improvement in my history grades.
